About us

Picture
We serve with Youth With A Mission: a worldwide missions organization - www.ywam.org. We met at YWAM Honolulu. David was a part of that base for over 15 years and Erin for 9 years. We were married September 2006, and we have three children: Malia (girl), Vaihaunoa (boy) and Eliana (girl).
Besides serving in many capacities on the Honolulu base in leadership and base staff, as a family, we have served in Fiji for 3-4 month segments running Bible Core Courses - in 2008 and 2011. We have been so blessed to see Fijians, Koreans, Indians and Papua New Guineans, through the BCC, grow in their knowledge and love of the scriptures and go on to serve God in different parts of the world. We have also served Honolulu and other Pacific locations by teaching in their training schools.

 David:

I am from Vancouver Island, British Columbia. I joined Youth With A Mission by doing my DTS in 1996 in Winfield, British Columbia. I went on outreach to Guyana, South America. It was an experience that changed my life and blew my worldview wide open, although I did not at the time think I would continue on in YWAM. But shortly after my DTS God called me to YWAM Honolulu in January 1998 for the School of Biblical Studies Core Course. During that time and during my School of Missions & Evangelism that same year in September I received a long term call to missions mobilizing Pacific Islanders in missions, specifically French speaking Polynesians into the North African Muslim world. I served on staff at the Honolulu base in many different roles from 1999-2012.
Erin:

I am from Pennsylvania. I joined YWAM in 2002 by doing a DTS in Atlanta, GA. My outreach was to Perm, Russia and God just blew the lid off my worldview and started directing me into world missions. January 2004 I came to YWAM Honolulu to do a School of Biblical Studies Core Course. I had no intention of staying there, I was just passing through - deepening my foundation so I could go out on the mission field. God drastically changed my plans after completing that school and I came back in January 2005 to join staff with the SBScc. During that time God spoke and did a lot to direct my future- giving me a call to the Pacific islands and I have heard the Lord recently concerning the ministry of reconciliation. There is much healing and reconciliation needed in the Pacific, and I am seeking God on how he may use me to bring this message to the Islands.
We are committed to be an example of a loving family who serves Jesus. We believe the Pacific Islands were created to worship God and have unique gifts to bless the nations.
